We brought Leicester-based artist Stu “ASMO” Smith down to run a workshop weekend as part of our “Digital Developments” season at South Hill Park, back in November 2009.
Weekend attendees built ASMO’s modified version of the classic Atari Punk Console circuit, with added pre-amp, fuzz and 5-step sequencer. Starting from raw electronic components, they built amazing audio instruments which they left with at the end of the second day.
Cardiff film student, Mike Diamond and his crew came along to film the weekend for their forthcoming documentary on circuit-bending in the UK. We’ve just received this edit of the footage from our weekend, which is available on our YouTube Channel.
