Entry level course introducing the essentials of digital image creation for those that have little or no experience. We will cover the tools and techniques necessary to crop, copy, manipulate and collage photos and drawings through a set of logical, prepared projects.

Discover the beauty of combining digital images with various types of traditional print techniques. On day one we will develop an image to digitally print onto A2 Hahnemuhle German Etching inkjet paper, then combine the digital print with drypoint etching and discuss other digital-traditional combinations. Participants should have a basic understanding of using Photoshop.

Intermediate level course tailored for artists using your own photos and drawings. The emphasis is on using layers with blending styles, collage techniques, and advanced manipulation to create images for digital printing or as templates for other print processes. Participants should have taken the Introductory course or have an understanding of Layers in Photoshop.

Explore mono-print techniques to create images specifically for use in digital prints by scanning and bringing in as layers for the digital image; or by applying a digital ground to the mono-print and over-printing using the Epson 7600 inkjet printer. Participants should have a basic understanding of using Photoshop.
