Our new season of weekend workshops goes on sale at the South Hill Park Box Office from 3rd March, followed by the evening course series on 22nd March.
As ever, there’s too much to list in this announcement, but you should find everything broken down into Workshops, Evening Courses and Children’s activities from the menu on the web site.
We’ve developed some new partnerships this season to allow us to provide some new products, which has resulted in our first whole season of Digital Print work, titled “New Possibilities in Print“. Expanding on our regular Ink Aid/Digital Ground technique weekends, led by artist Janet Curley Cannon, we’ve got a whole strand of work that runs from “Photoshop for Artist-Printmakers” through to 2 day workshops that see us use the digital facilities at South Hill Park, and the traditional print facilities at Ochre Print Studio, Guildford.
We’ve included lots of specialised digital SLR photography material, with professionals Annabelle Dalby leading a dedicated Portrait Photography day in April, and Jo Andreae taking you on an urban safari for a weekend of Architectural image photography.
As it’s the Easter holidays, there are lots of activities for young people. We’ve landed a real whopper, with former Marvel Comics and 2000AD artist, Ross Dearsley running “Draw Your Own Comic Book“, and an advanced Photoshop technique day for adults! (See the “Batman: Arkham Asylum” image above). We’ve got our first “Game World” workshop, where 12-15 yr olds can build their own level for the classic 3D first person game, Quake.
All this, plus the return of our Easter young persons film-making, acting, directing, video-editing sessions “Make A Film In 3 Days“, this year led by actor/director, Bart Lee.
The season information can be found in the PDF below, or in the “Learning” section of this site.
